Our Teaching Philosophy

Easter Seals Tri-Counties offers an inclusive educational program designed to stimulate a love of learning and foster intellectual, physical, and social/emotional growth for all children between the ages of 2-5. The Easter Seals Early Childcare Program is based on the belief that children are active learners, explorers, experimenters, musicians and artists. With the help of supportive, caring, and talented teachers who recognize that children learn at different rates in different ways, the children are encouraged to make choices for themselves, participate as a group, and realize their own unique selves. Within a rich and inviting learning environment the children are helped to become important members of the community and to maximize their own potential.

The expansive indoor and outdoor campus of Easter Seals Tri-Counties is adorned with tree shaded pathways, state-of-the-art play yards, and a dramatic arts center within a neighborhood-like atmosphere that provides an ideal setting for learning activities such as sand and water play, clay and play dough, sculpture, painting, collage work, blocks and dramatic play, cooking, nutrition education, gardening, music and rhythms, stories, animal care and a wide variety of outdoor play. With developmentally appropriate learning activities, state of the art facilities that meet or exceed industry standards, the children of Easter Seals Tri-Counties are offered a wide breadth of opportunities to learn and contribute in an environment of encouragement, compassion and acceptance.
